Broadwater Farm is being promoted through the emerging Tonbridge & Malling Local Plan as a potential location for growth, helping to meet the borough’s future housing and infrastructure needs.
Located between Kings Hill, West Malling and East Malling, the site offers an opportunity to create a well-connected new neighbourhood shaped by its historic landscape and conservation area setting. Proposals include new homes, education provision, a central park, green infrastructure and improved connections.
Assessments of landscape, heritage, ecology, movement and surrounding communities have informed a landscape and heritage-led approach, structured around a connected green framework that brings nature close to new homes and supports future growth.
